Description
Antique Closed Right Fist Sterling Silver West Indies Freedom Revolution Ring. The ring is in excellent estate condition and ready to wear. It is adjustable. There are no hallmarks that I can find anywhere. The piece has earned a beautiful patina over time. The ends of the ring have two closed right hand fists. The piece hails from the West Indies ( Caribbean ). The fist represent confidence, freedom and revolution. Often slaves who worked the sugar plantations in the Caribbean were not allowed to posses money so the only forms of currency they could use were silver bangles and rings which would usually be passed down over generations. I am not sure how old this ring is though.
The rings current size is 7.5 – 7.75. The piece weighs a total of 3.6 grams
